FAQ

Do you Guarantee your work?

Yes. I guarantee your complete satisfaction with the copy I write for you before

you put it to use.

But if you are not 100 percent satisfied, I will revise the copy according to your

specific guidelines - within the scope of the work we agreed upon.

Two revisions are included in the flat fee we've agreed to for the assignment.

Just tell me what you want improved and what the specific changes are, and I'll

make them — fast.

What I don’t guarantee is a particular result or response rate.

The Direct Marketing Association Code of Ethics prohibits me from doing so.

Why?

There are many factors in your marketing ‒ product, market, price, list, demand,

consumer preferences, the economy, the stock market, major events ‒ I cannot

control.

While I can and do guarantee your satisfaction with my copy before you

test it, I do not promise and cannot guarantee specific results.

However, if we're both not satisfied with the results ... and we feel confident that some modifications might yield a better outcome ... I can work with you to find a solution and boost the response rate to the promotion.

How much does it cost to write copy projects?

Cost depends on the scope of the project.

We will discuss what you need during the Discovery Call.

I charge a flat fee based on the scope of the project.

I charge 50% of the project fee up front to reserve my time. The other 50% is due within 15 days of delivery of the first draft. 

If necessary, my fee schedule is adaptable to meet the needs of  B2B companies who work within a defined payment structure for vendors.

During our initial conversation (Discovery Call) I’ll ask you some questions about your company and the goals of your business.

My goal is to determine whether I can add value to your business.

If at the end of this discussion, I think I can add value, I’ll send over a document outlining an initial project with the cost.

How does the process work — what can I expect?

I follow a clear working process.  I’ll outline this for you in a client brief for any copywriting project.

It’s a step-by-step method I use to make sure you and I cover everything we need up front. 

I charge 50% of the project fee up front to reserve my time and the other 50% when the first draft of the project is delivered.

Web Writing clients can expect me to create optimized content within the design and functions of your site. I’ll work with your web developer or team to coordinate everything so it’s a nice smooth process.

Do you do the work yourself or outsource?

I do all the work myself. 

I do partner with a professional editor to ensure a quality, finished product.

Why do I have to fill out a form before scheduling a call with you?

I have you fill out a form so I can know something about your goals and what you hope to achieve before we talk. Also, I like to know something about your business before we meet.

This helps me prepare for a productive visit with you to determine if I can add value to your business with my skills.

How long does it take for you to complete a project?

A project completion timeframe depends on what’s involved.

But based on our conversation, I can put a rough timeframe into my proposal, and then we firm up a schedule once we get going. 

Do you have any specialties?

I have 30+ years of experience working as a medical professional.

So, I enjoy working with Health and Wellness business owners, Alternative Health  Practitioners and medical device manufacturers. 

Because of my personal interest in Holistic and Integrative Health Care, I

have a passion for promoting Alternative Health practitioners or businesses promoting health and wellness products.  

I also work on projects not related to health and wellness. I enjoy researching and learning new things.

Can you do the design, too?

Currently I do not do graphic design.

However, to support the effectiveness of a project, I might make suggestions for

the placement of graphic elements (photos or pictures).

If you need a graphic artist for your project and don’t know of one, I may be able to refer you to someone I know who does good work.

I have a tight deadline to meet. Can you start on my copywriting project right away?

Whether I could begin a copywriting project right away would depend on my existing workload and other commitments.

We would need to discuss a timeline once I understand the scope of your project.

If I can accommodate your schedule and still provide you with a quality product I will.

What do you do as a Marketing Consultant?

I partner with businesses to create marketing strategies to maximize the use of their websites and other marketing efforts.

There are separate fees for these services.

The cost of writing the copy for the implementation any Content or Marketing Strategy is billed separately.
